Pura Vida

It directly translates to “Pure Life” however; it’s used often in daily interactions for locals and travelers alike. For instance, you might greet someone saying, “Hola, como estas?” and they might say “Pura Vida”. This phrase is used all the time for almost everything. Even if someone is seemingly having the worst day ever, walking the dirt road in crazy tropical heat and you ask them “how they are doing”, they most likely will respond with “Pura Vida”.
